Several implants support a special metal bar to which the denture securely attaches. The restoration remains stable during everyday use while still being easy to remove for cleaning.
Conventional removable dentures may move or feel uncomfortable during eating and speaking. A bar-retained implant denture addresses this problem by using the implants to provide secure support. It can improve stability, chewing, speech and confidence, while costing less than a fully fixed implant-supported restoration.

Excellent value for money
Stable retention can often be achieved with four implants placed in suitable areas of the jaw. Where sufficient bone is available, treatment may sometimes be possible without bone grafting, reducing treatment time and cost.

The denture attaches firmly to an implant-supported metal bar and does not move during use. It does not cover the entire palate, which can provide a more natural sensation and greater comfort. Patients can regain confident chewing, clearer speech and the pleasure of eating without worrying about a loose denture.

A long-term solution
With good oral hygiene and regular dental reviews, the implants and bar can provide a long-term foundation. The denture itself may require adjustment or repair after several years due to normal wear, without affecting the implants or bar fixed in the mouth.
How is an implant-retained denture made?
Any remaining teeth that cannot be preserved are removed where necessary, and implants are placed in the front region of the jaw. The surgery can usually be completed in one appointment. A healing period of approximately three months follows, during which a temporary removable denture can be worn.
Bone integration is checked on an X-ray before the next stage. Once healing is complete, the final denture is produced over approximately three to four visits within eight to ten working days. The implants are exposed in a minor surgical procedure, impressions are taken, and the connecting bar and denture are tried in at different stages.
Adjustments can be made to ensure comfortable everyday use and meet the patient’s aesthetic expectations. At delivery, the bar is secured to the implants with screws and the denture clips onto it. We then demonstrate and practise removal, insertion and correct cleaning with the patient.

Implantátumra rögzített fogsor – a kezelés menete

Mikor készülhet el az implantátumos fogsor?
Az implantátumok teljes gyógyulását követően kezdődhet meg a végleges, implantátumokra rögzített fogsor elkészítése. A teljes folyamat általában 3–4 rendelői alkalmat igényel, körülbelül 8–10 munkanap alatt.
Hogyan készül az implantátumra rögzített fogsor?
A kezelés első lépéseként egy kisebb sebészi beavatkozással felszabadítjuk az íny alatt gyógyuló implantátumokat. Ezt követően levesszük a szükséges lenyomatokat, amelyek alapján elkészül az implantátumokat összekötő, a fogsor stabilitását biztosító stég.
A fogtechnikai munkafolyamat során több alkalommal bepróbáljuk a készülő fogsort. Ezeken az alkalmakon ellenőrizzük a fogsor illeszkedését, stabilitását, kényelmét és esztétikai megjelenését. Ha szükséges, kisebb korrekciókat is végzünk, hogy a végleges fogpótlás a lehető legkényelmesebb és természetesebb legyen.
Hogyan rögzül a stéges fogsor?
A kész fogsor átadásakor a stéget csavarokkal az implantátumokhoz rögzítjük, majd a fogsort erre pattintjuk fel. Ennek köszönhetően a fogpótlás stabilan a helyén marad, ugyanakkor szükség esetén a páciens otthon is könnyedén eltávolíthatja.
