Implant-Supported Full-Arch Bridge

An implant-supported full-arch bridge is one of the most natural-looking fixed solutions for complete tooth loss. The restoration is generally supported by six implants. A screw-retained ceramic bridge is placed on this foundation, with lifelike zirconia crowns replacing the teeth.

An important advantage of screw retention is that the bridge can be removed without damage if inspection, professional cleaning or repair becomes necessary. Particular attention is paid to the health and aesthetic appearance of the gum tissue around the restoration, as this has a major influence on the natural harmony of the final result.

How is an implant-supported full-arch bridge made?

After recording clinical photographs, digital scans and impressions, we begin designing the personalised treatment plan and definitive restoration.

Any teeth that cannot be preserved are removed first, and any necessary bone regeneration or grafting is completed. If the bone and gum tissue are healthy and free of inflammation, implants may sometimes be placed during the same appointment.

Where anatomy and bone quality permit, immediate loading may be possible. In this case, a temporary screw-retained restoration is attached to the implants on the day of surgery. It preserves appearance during healing and helps shape a natural, harmonious gum contour.

After healing, the aesthetic and functional performance of the temporary restoration is reviewed in detail. Necessary adjustments are agreed between the patient and dentist before the definitive restoration is produced.

Rather than relying only on a digital visualisation, we place a realistic, full-size trial version of the planned bridge in the mouth. This allows the patient to experience the shape, size, position and appearance of the teeth before final production. Bite, speech, lip support, facial character and smile harmony can all be assessed and refined.

The final full-arch bridge restores youthful facial support, stable chewing, confident speech and a natural smile.
